Go modern! Go Electric! This 1954 ranch house was once a model home for Kansas City Power and Light that attracted 60,000 visitors. With a costumed 1950s tour guide, students will experience the "House of the Future" ---moon-glow light fixtures, waist high outlets, dishwasher and central air conditioning. The 1950s All-Electric House offers a look at a time in Johnson County's history when the population doubled and doubled again.
Tours are available for grades K-12 and the cost is $2.00 per person. School tours are available Tuesday - Friday mornings only.
