Here are some sample questions you can use for your oral history interview.

1. How old were you during World War II?
2. Where did you live during World War II?
3. What was life like for you and your family before World War II?
4. Do you remember December 7, 1941? What was it like on that day? What effect did it have on you?
5. Did your family have to use ration stamps? What where some things you remember being without? How did your family adapt?
6. Did you serve in the military during World War II? Where did you serve? What do you remember about your service?
7. Did you participate in any relief efforts on the homefront? If so, what did you do?
8. Did you have to go to work during World War II? What did you do? Was this your first job?
9. What was it like to go to school during World War II? Did you discuss the war at school?
10. Do you remember being frightened during the war? What was that like?
11. How do you think the war changed you and your family?
12. How do you think the war changed your community?
13. How did you receive your information about the war?
