Squiresville
Squiresville became known as a place for Union soldiers to drink and gamble. The community also became known as a place for deserted soldiers. In particular, Squiresville became the hang out for Colonel Charles Rainsford Jennison and his Jayhawkers, which would later become known as "Red Legs".
