B. B. Francis
B. B. Francis was born August 10th, 1828, in Maine. In ’42, he went to Boston, where he carried on the piano-forte trade. In ’57, he came to Kansas, locating in Gardner, and was one of the original proprietors of the town. Since he came to Kansas, he has engaged in merchandizing, to a considerable extent, and for a time was engaged as clerk in the establishment of Church, Sponable & Co., Leavenworth. In ’63 he was united by marriage to Miss F. Cramer of Gardner. They have a family of two children.
